Winters in Vermont are well known for their unrelenting brutality. Needless to say, we hold on to our moisturizers pretty tightly as we struggle through a long season of dry skin brought on by cold, dry, and windy conditions.
What has often been a source of frustration for Vermonters proved to be a pretty good test lab for Vermont Simple Beauty as we set out to create a great general use moisturizer.
As Vermonters, we certainly empathize with the pain of dry skin season. It comes as little surprise that we've toured our fare share of various moisturizers. They all have their pluses and minuses, but the biggest pet peeves (for us) include:
So as we set out to create a moisturizer that we felt met the high standards for excellence we hold ourselves to at Vermont Simple Beauty, we knew we had to make sure we addresses not one but all of these items.
After well over a year in research and development, we are excited to announce the official roll out of Vermont Simple Moisturizing Cream. This cream uses organic Argan Oil and Shea as its primarily moisturizer. We landed on these botanical oils because they are: light and easily absorbed, non-comedogenic (i.e. they don't clog pores), loaded with skin soothing vitamin E, and rumored to reduce signs of aging.
We use only plant-based emulsifiers and thickeners as well as a naturally derived preservative with global acceptance for safety in cosmetic applications. This ensures Vermont Simple Moisturizing Cream is free of: Parabens, PEG's, Petrochemicals, Triclosan, and Formaldehyde.
Additionally, we fragrance Vermont Simple Moisturizing Cream with our own unique fragrance blends made from essential oils and phthalate free fragrance oils.
We've put a lot of effort into perfecting Vermont Simple Moisturizing Cream, and we truly feel it's the best general use moisturizer available. We're super excited to finally bring it to market, and we're confident that you'll find it excels at creating soft skin anytime of the year.

When Sheri came to me with the idea of launching the company that eventually became Vermont Simple Beauty, there was no discussion about candles. We talked about lip balm, moisturizers, scrubs, even makeup (sort of glad that one didn't pan out), but not a word about candles.
